What We Believe

What we believe about the Scriptures
"We believe the Scriptures are the divinely inspired and written Word of God and serves to reveal to all the nature and truth of God.  It also provides the standards and principles that God has established for all to live by. (2 Timothy 3:16 & Psalm 119:105)

What we believe about God
"We believe that there is only one true and living God who is self-existent and eternal.  He is the creator of all things.  God has revealed himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (the Trinity), with each person having a distinct attribute, but is of the same essence, nature, being and perfection.  (Tenesis 1:1; Exodus 3:14; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; Ephesians 4:6)

What we believe about Jesus Christ
 "We believe that Jesus Christ is the only unique son of God, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, crucified on a cross for the forgiveness of our sins, raised on the third day from the grave and now is in heaven serving as and intercessor on our behalf with the father.
(Matthew 1:18-23; John 1:1-18; John 3:16-18; John 20:1-20; Acts 1:9; Hebrews 4:14-15; Hebrews 12:2)

What we believe about the Holy Spirit
 "We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the revealed Trinity of God.  It is the function of the Holy Spirit to convict of sin, call persons to salvation in Christ, indwell each Christian believer, teach all truth, bestow spiritual gifts for service, and seals the believer in salvation forever.  (Genesis 1:2; John 16:7-14; Romans 8:9-11; 14-16;
I Corinthians 3:16; I Corinthians 12:3-11)

What we believe about Salvation
We believe that all who repent of sin and receive by faith Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord become the children of God and have the gift of eternal life with Him.  Jesus Christ is the one and only means of salvation.  Salvation is a gift that is offered freely to everyone, who in faith believes and it does not come by any human effort.  (Luke 1:68-69; Acts 2:21,38; Acts 4:12; Romans 10:9-10,13; Ephesians 2:8-22)
